Thank you for joining us on SeattleHome.com.
I founded this company nearly fifteen years ago as one of the first brokerages nationwide to successfully display listings on the web and sell real estate online. SeattleHome.com and SeattleCondo.com have since developed into the most popular sites on the web for Greater Seattle homes for sale.
I've always been an entrepreneur, having grown up in Long Island, N.Y, and owning a number of businesses back East. While residential construction and real estate are my professional emphasis, living near the water has always been my passion. After living on a motoryacht in the Hamptons and in homes on Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound, the beautiful Puget Sound waterfront called my wife and I to move to Seattle in the early 1990s. We fell in love with the Northwest and made it our permanent residence.
Since that time, our company has seen tremendous success, selling everything from studio condos to townhomes, houseboats, and multi-million dollar waterfront estates. We strive to provide professional service at all times, as well as cutting edge technology and up-to-date information and research to all of our clients. We understand that our success is due to you, and we'd welcome the opportunity to speak with you about your goals.

I worked on my first residential construction projects while growing up in the Puget Sound area. Construction turned out to be a valuable experience as I've continued working in the real estate industry for the majority of my life, from remodeling to mortgage banking and residential real estate sales.
I'm personally fascinated with technology. I spent a couple of years in web development and management consulting for tech startups in Silicon Valley in the '90s after studying Marketing at USC's business school. My love of real estate, the Northwest, and family brought me back. Over the past decade, we have turned our technology tools in to a powerful real estate marketing platform. Google "Seattle homes for sale", "Seattle real estate listings", or a host of other search terms, and you'll see our websites first. Our clients benefit greatly from this exposure.
Sharing in Brian's appreciation of waterfront homes, I write regularly for the Seattle P-I on waterfront real estate and also provide advocacy for the Washington Realtors organization. Brian and I continue to develop real estate research and stories that have landed us in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, HGTV, and many other news outlets. Keeping our clients informed is our top priority.
Whether you're a first-time buyer, a seasoned investor, or a homeowner looking to sell, we'd love to discuss your situation.

"Brian and Sam represented me in the purchase of a large estate. Whether I was in town or on business back East, they always kept me up-to-date and informed on the process. They were able to negotiate a substantial discount on the price, while I was free to go about my regular business without interruption. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a stress-free, professionally-managed home purchase."
- D.K., Bellevue
"We consider ourselves very fortunate to have used Brian Wiegand to purchase our first home. We expected the home buying process to be long and arduous. Thanks to Brian, it was an exciting and simple experience. Brian's most valuable asset was his expertise in construction. He was able to tell us as soon as we entered the door whether the work involved was within our scope of abilities or not. We honestly feel like we ended up with the perfect home for us and, thanks to Brian's amazing negotiating skills, we ended up paying far less than the listed price."
- Sarah and Phil, Green Lake, Seattle
"Sam DeBord is the most knowledgeable, ethical and responsive real estate professional I have ever worked with. He brought a very difficult and lengthy 'short' sale transaction to closure, where others may have quite easily failed. The sale included having to negotiate numerous liens to get them released. I will make Sam my first and only real estate professional to use for all my future real estate needs."
- Randy and Elizabeth, Downtown Kirkland
"Brian and Sam's knowledge of waterfront real estate and its unique issues made our experience of purchasing a waterfront home a pleasure. They worked as a team and were in total control of the process from start to finish."
- Alec S., Alki Beach, Seattle
"Sam worked dilligently on our behalf on a complicated sale. Throughout the process Sam was attentive and always had our best interests as his primary goal, and his knowledge of the market and properties' potential was impressive. I found his advice was always well thought out and he was not afraid to point out potential pitfalls if our interests were not being addressed. Ultimately, the story has a happy ending and I would not hesitate to recommend Sam's service and expertise to anyone looking at a Real Estate transaction in the Seattle market."
- K.A. & K.K, Pioneer Square, Seattle
"This was my fourth time of buying a home. Brian's experience and genuine concern that we make the best decision for us really made shopping for and buying our new house fun. This was far and away the best time I've ever had buying a home!"
- Mark and Caitlin, West Seattle

Marketing Homes Is No Longer Just About The Local Market
We market our homes to the local, national, and international markets. Many luxury and waterfront homes today are being sold to buyers from other areas. We've recently sold luxury estates to clients from Seattle, Texas, California, New York, China, and Australia. We have the largest online presence in the Seattle market, and our affiliation with Coldwell Banker Previews International's global presence increases the potential buyer pool for our home sellers.
9 out of 10 buyers today are searching for their home online. (National Association of Realtors)
Whether a buyer lives a block away, a city away, or overseas, they're searching online for their next home. When buyers search online for "Seattle Homes For Sale", "Seattle Real Estate Listings", "Seattle Waterfront Homes", or a plethora of other terms, they find us first. No one in the Greater Seattle market has a larger web presence than SeattleHome.com. If your home doesn't get proper exposure online, you've already lost a large percentage of potential buyers.
The Experience of Managing Brokers
We have the experience, education, and training that allows us to have a Managing Broker designation. This requires that a broker pass real estate law, management, and brokerage courses, complete years of real estate practice, and maintain standards of education and ethics. This experience allows our clients to put their minds at ease as their negotiations and transactions move smoothly toward closing.
Technology-led marketing coupled with superior print marketing
With record real estate sales last year, including a top-10 King County transaction, our business is growing despite the current market conditions. Our online and print marketing allow our clients' homes to stand out from the vast inventory of homes for sale. Our "Featured Listings" on SeattleHome.com receive more buyer views, and our high-end print brochures are are far superior than most real estate flyers. In short, our clients receive the highest level of marketing available.

Because of our broad presence online, we are regularly quoted in industry and consumer publications, both local and national. We've been interviewed as real estate experts by the Wall Street Journal, HGTV.com, USA Today and Realtor Magazine. Locally in the Seattle market, our research and properties have been featured in Seattle Homes and Lifestyles Magazine, Seattle Met, and Seattle Magazine. We also write for a number of real estate new outlets, including the Seattle Waterfront Homes blog for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
